  1. Preparation:

    • Ensure the ampoule is intact and the solution is clear. Do not use if discolored or containing particles.

    • Clean the ampoule neck with an alcohol swab before breaking it open.

    • Use a sterile syringe and needle to withdraw the solution. Avoid mixing with other medications in the same syringe.




  2. Administration:

    • Inject deeply into the gluteal muscle (upper outer quadrant of the buttock) to minimize tissue irritation.

    • Aspirate slightly before injecting to ensure the needle is not in a blood vessel.
