The ANIZONE S INJECTION 3gm vial is a potent antibiotic combination of Cefoperazone and Sulbactam, designed to treat a wide range of bacterial infections. This injectable formulation is particularly effective against resistant strains due to the synergistic action of its two active ingredients. Cefoperazone, a third-generation cephalosporin, disrupts bacterial cell wall synthesis, while Sulbactam acts as a beta-lactamase inhibitor, preventing bacterial resistance and enhancing efficacy.

This medication is commonly prescribed for severe infections such as respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and septicemia. It is also used in surgical prophylaxis to prevent post-operative infections. The 3gm vial provides a convenient dosage for healthcare professionals to administer in clinical settings.

  • Dual-action formula: Combines the bactericidal effect of Cefoperazone with the resistance-fighting properties of Sulbactam.

  • Broad-spectrum coverage: Effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

  • Hospital-grade treatment: Particularly useful for nosocomial infections and cases where first-line antibiotics have failed.

  • Precise dosing: The 3gm vial allows for accurate administration based on patient weight and infection severity.

  • Intravenous or intramuscular use: Offers flexibility in administration routes depending on clinical requirements.

Patients typically receive ANIZONE S Injection in a hospital setting under medical supervision. The dosage and duration of treatment depend on the type and severity of infection, renal function, and patient response. Common side effects may include mild gastrointestinal disturbances, allergic reactions, or injection site discomfort. As with all antibiotics, completing the full course is essential to prevent antibiotic resistance.

Healthcare providers should review the patient's medical history, especially regarding beta-lactam allergies, before administration. The medication requires proper storage conditions (typically at room temperature) and should be reconstituted with sterile water or appropriate solutions immediately before use. Regular monitoring of renal and hepatic function is recommended during prolonged therapy.

ANIZONE S INJECTION 3gm vial is a combination of Cefoperazone and Sulbactam, used to treat various bacterial infections. It is administered intravenously or intramuscularly, as prescribed by a healthcare professional. Before use, ensure the vial is intact and the solution is clear and free from particles. If the solution appears cloudy or contains particles, do not use it.

To prepare the injection, follow these steps:

  1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water or use a hand sanitizer.

  2. Remove the protective cap from the vial and clean the rubber stopper with an alcohol swab.

  3. Using a sterile syringe, draw the required amount of sterile water for injection or another compatible diluent as prescribed.

  4. Inject the diluent into the vial and gently shake it until the powder is completely dissolved.

  5. Withdraw the appropriate dose of the solution into the syringe, ensuring no air bubbles are present.

For intravenous administration, the solution can be injected directly into a vein or added to an IV fluid bag. If injecting directly, administer the solution slowly over 3 to 5 minutes. For IV infusion, dilute the solution further with a compatible IV fluid, such as normal saline or dextrose, and administer it over 15 to 30 minutes. For intramuscular injection, inject the solution deep into a large muscle, such as the gluteus maximus or thigh.

The dosage and duration of treatment depend on the severity of the infection, the patient’s age, weight, and kidney function. Always follow the prescribing doctor’s instructions. Do not exceed the recommended dose or duration of treatment. If you miss a dose, administer it as soon as possible, but do not double the dose to make up for the missed one.

Monitor the patient for any adverse reactions, such as allergic reactions, gastrointestinal disturbances, or changes in kidney or liver function. If severe side effects occur, discontinue use and seek medical attention immediately. Store the vial at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture, and keep it out of reach of children.
