SEREVENT INHALER (Salmeterol) is a medication used to help control asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). To ensure proper use, follow these instructions carefully.

1. Before using the inhaler, shake it well for about 5 seconds to mix the medication properly.


2. Remove the cap from the mouthpiece and check for any foreign objects.


3. Hold the inhaler upright with your thumb on the bottom and your index and middle fingers on the top.


4. Exhale fully to empty your lungs, ensuring you do not breathe into the inhaler.


5. Place the mouthpiece in your mouth, sealing your lips around it to avoid air leaks.


6. As you begin to inhale slowly and deeply through your mouth, press down on the canister to release one dose of medication. Continue to inhale for about 3 to 5 seconds.


7. Hold your breath for about 10 seconds to allow the medication to reach deep into your lungs.
