ILEVRO (Nepafenac) 0.3% eye drops are prescribed to help reduce inflammation and pain in the eye after surgery. To use these eye drops effectively, please follow these instructions carefully.

  1. Wash Your Hands: Begin by thoroughly washing your hands with soap and water to prevent any contamination.

  2. Shake the Bottle: Before using the eye drops, gently shake the bottle to ensure the solution is well mixed.

  3. Position Yourself: Sit or stand comfortably, and tilt your head back slightly. You may also lie down if that is easier for you.

  4. Open the Bottle: Remove the cap from the bottle, being careful not to touch the dropper tip to any surface, including your hands or eyes, to avoid contamination.

  5. Administer the Drops: With one hand, pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket. With your other hand, hold the bottle upside down over your eye. Squeeze the bottle gently to release one drop into the pocket of your lower eyelid.

  6. Avoid Touching: Do not touch the dropper tip to your eye or any other surface. This helps keep the drops sterile.

  7. Close Your Eye: After administering the drop, gently close your eye for a moment to allow the medication to spread evenly across the surface of your eye. You may also apply gentle pressure to the inner corner of your eye with your finger to prevent the drops from draining away.

  8. Repeat if Necessary: If your doctor has instructed you to use more than one drop, wait about 5 to 10 minutes before applying the next drop in the same eye.

  9. Recap the Bottle: After use, securely replace the cap on the bottle to keep it clean and prevent contamination.

  10. Store Properly: Keep the eye drops at room temperature and away from direct sunlight. Do not freeze the medication.

If you experience any discomfort, persistent redness, or vision changes after using ILEVRO, contact your healthcare provider immediately. Always follow your doctor's specific instructions regarding dosage and frequency of use.
